Can you help charity find new home?
7:20am Sunday 19th February 2012
A CHARITY is struggling to find new accommodation.
The Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Group is appealing to Weekly News readers to help find a new venue for its weekly meetings following unsuccessful pleas to NHS South West Essex.
Bilinda Busch, spokeswoman for the group, said it currently meets at the TA Centre, in Warley. She said: “We are self funding and although we have been in correspondence with the NHS and PCT since 2009 we have only received empty promises.
“Although they recognise the vital role of the group, they are unwilling to help fund or offer us the use of premises to meet.”
The group is looking for a “sizeable hall” measuring 85ft x 50ft to exercise in at least one day a week, with storage space for exercise machines and mats.
Additional rooms for massage and private consultation are also needed with toilet facilities and close parking.
