Brentwood Council to set budget tonight

BRENTWOOD Council’s new budget is due to be set tonight, February 21.
The borough’s councillors were set to meet at the town hall, in Ingrave Road, to make decisions and discuss the impending financial year, including issues such as council tax.
Speaking on her blog, leader of the council, councillor Louise McKinlay, said: “This year we’re offering our residents a deal that most other councils simply can’t match.
“Along with the 0 per cent council tax rise that we’ll be proposing for 2012/13, we’ll also be increasing front line services even further for residents, as we deliver more value for money for Brentwood.”
